The Holocaust is a sad part of German history – the remains of this period still exist and can be visited by interested people nowadays. This camp served as a “blueprint” for the other concentration camps in Europe. In the last few years of the war, a gas chamber was built in the Dachau concentration camp.<\/p>\n

According to official statements this chamber has never been used – the truth remains controversial according to today’s historians.

A trip to the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site<\/h2>\n

A visit of the Dachau concentration camp is certainly not a pleasurable trip like our other excursion offers.<\/p>\n

Yet it is still worth a visit as an important place of Germany’s history preserved up to today. There are many books and documents on the Holocaust \u2013 but a visit of the concentration camp gives a much more realistic view
\nof former conditions. No book can replace this impression. In addition to the preserved and restored buildings, you also have the possibility to visit different museums.<\/p>\n

The exhibition entitled “The Path of the prisoners” reconstructs the path that every new prisoner in the concentration camp was forced to take. Original documents and a rich selection of photographs are exhibited there. Snacks are available on the memorial site. In addition, it is possible to buy books and to take away information brochures for more insight into the history of the concentration camp.
